Agenda:
- This meeting was a collaboration between the NJ Clean Communities Council, The Lake Hopatcong Foundation (LHF) and the Morris County MUA (MCMUA). It has been approved for 3 NJCCC credits.
- Cheryl Birmingham, District Clean Communities Coordinator welcomed everyone and provided a review of the activities at Hopatcong State Park and the coordinators meeting at the LHF office.
- Tom Tylek, RanMarine Technology Sales Manager, gave a demonstration of WasteShark in Lake Hopatcong. WasteShark is an agile and efficient aquatic waste collector for cleaner freshwater bodies.
- Donna Macalle-Holly, Lake Hopatcong Foundation Grants and Program Director, was the guide for the excursion on Lake Hopatcong Foundation’s Floating Classroom. The floating classroom serves as an interactive learning center on Lake Hopatcong, providing a hands-on adventure for learning about the lake.
- Lunch and the Clean Communities Coordinators meeting occurred at the LHF office.

- JoAnn Gemenden, NJ Clean Communities Executive Director, provided updates on NJ Clean Communities programs.
- Donna Macalle-Holly, Lake Hopatcong Foundation Grants and Program Director gave an overview of the foundation’s educational programs.
- Tom Tylek, RanMarine Sales Manager, provided coordinators with information about purchasing a WasteShark or scheduling the use of a WasteShark with RanMarine’s Three Day Bundle.
- Michelle Hatfield, Program Support Specialist, NJDEP Water Ambassador Program, talked about the various ways Water Ambassadors can help educate the public about the environment. Their services are free of charge.
