Recycling in Schools

Why Recycle?

Recycling is the law! N.J.S.A. 13:1E-99.13 requires all waste generators in Morris County to keep certain items mandated for recycling separate from garbage. All schools are waste generators, meaning that they produce garbage, and are therefore required to keep mandated materials separated from the garbage. Any violations and penalty notices for improper recycling, typically enforced by the local health department, will be directed to the school’s administration.

Paper and bottles/containers (plastic, glass, metal) are collected separate from one another.
